REDDING REPUBLICAN TOWN COMMITTEE MINUTES Chairman Ward Mazzucco called the meeting to order at 8 PM. There was a moment of silence to note the passing of our former President, Ronald Reagan. Approval of the minutes of the May 25, 2004, meeting was deferred, since the draft has not yet been circulated. Gary Miyashiro, the treasurer, reported on RTC finances. His report was unanimously approved. He will email RTC members to encourage donations. The need for fund raising was discussed. There was also a report on the RTC booth for Georgetown Day. Ward Mazzucco pointed out that, at the Joel Barlow awards assembly this year, there were three Democratic awards and no Republican awards. Charlie Eichhorn agreed to make a recommendation for RTC participation in 2005. The Vacancy Committee recommended Bill Alvarez for the next Board of Finance opening. The entire RTC unanimously voted to make this recommendation to the Board of Finance. Citing her broad connections in the Redding community, the Vacancy Committee also recommended Christine Kearney for the RTC vacancy. In keeping the RTC bylaws, the vote on this recommendation will take place at the next meeting. After much stuffing and addressing of fund-raising envelopes, the meeting was adjourned.
