Board Officers:
David Lewson became Chair of Board of Education upon resignation of Nick Simeonidis. Need to fill Vice Chairman seat. Tom Derderian moved Lewis Brey as Vice Chair - Don Takacs second. Elected upon instruction to Secretary to cast one vote.

Republican Training Session:
June 9th at Chris Shay's office.

Georgetown Day:
Georgetown Day is Sunday June 10, 2007. Frank DeSalvo will bring tent. Candidates should be present. Chris Shays' office will be notified.

Bush Dinner:
Norma Riess gave a synopsis of the Bush dinner. Fred Thompson was speaker, also Larry Kudlow and Governor Rell.

Apparently there is a limitation on RTC receiving money for Key Club tickets. Thus, we could not receive donations as tickets were state contributions and dinner was federal contribution.

State Central Convention:
Ward Mazzucco explained how we had supported Urs Furrer, and a candidate came in from last minute from Bethel. John Shaban gave a synopsis of the meeting. Hank Bielawa told the RTC about the Bethel candidate, and talked about his excellent qualities. Urs Furrer was elected 28-25.

Discussion of State Assembly Seat:
The RTC agreed that Jason Bartlett had done a very poor job in his first year as State Representative. He has not acted in the interests of Redding on any issue.

Meeting of RTC Chairman:
Ward Mazzucco reported that other RTC's encounter similar issues, so meetings of chairs are productive.

Fundraisers:
There are upcoming fundraisers in Ridgefield and Bethel.

Vacancy Committee:
There are four (4) positions not held by incumbent Republicans. Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, and two Region 9 positions. Vacancy Committee is prepared for all contingencies.

Platform:
Moved, Frank DeSalvo, Second, Gerry Cassiello.

Ward Mazzucco discussed suggestions for changes to platform from Natalie Ketcham and Don Takacs.

Need to bullet items. Other changes to be synthesized by Ward Mazzucco.
