REDDING REPUBLICAN TOWN COMMITTEE MINUTES The caucus was called to order at 8:06 p.m. by Temporary Chairman Ward Mazzucco. A "Notice of Meeting" was then read into the record by Temporary Secretary Michael Thompson. Rules Committee Report Urs Furrer, Chairman of the Rules Committee , read the proposed procedural rules for the caucus. Gerry Casiello moved to approve the rules as presented, seconded by Scott Palmer. No discussion. Unanimously passed. Election of Caucus Chairman Urs Furrer moved that Ward Mazzucco be elected Chairman of the Caucus, seconded by John Davey. No discussion. Unanimously passed. Election of Caucus Secretary Frank DeSalvo moved that Michael Thompson be elected Secretary of the Caucus, seconded by Tom Derderian. No discussion. Unanimously passed. Nomination of Candidate for Registrar of Voters for Endorsement by the Caucus Ward Mazzucco asked if there were any nominations for Registrar of Voters. Urs Furrer nominated Liz Furrer, which was seconded by Joan DeSalvo. Ward Mazzucco asked if there were any other nominations. None were put forward. A discussion ensued regarding the successful job Liz Furrer had done as current Registrar of Voters. A motion was then made by Jerry Sarnelli that the Caucus endorse Liz Furrer, which was seconded by Gerry Casiello. The motion to endorse Liz Furrer for Registrar of Voters as recommended by the RTC passed unanimously. Nomination of Candidates for Justices of the Peace for Endorsement by the Caucus Ward Mazzucco nominated the following individuals as candidates for Justice of the Peace: Hank Bielawa Dorothee Funk Pat Moisio Tom Sullivan Henry Polio Ward Mazzucco asked if there were any other nominations. None were put forward. A motion was then made by Frank DeSalvo that the Caucus endorse the above slate of candidates, which was seconded by Gary Mayashiro. The motion to endorse Hank Bielawa, Dorothee Funk, Pat Moisio, Tom Sullivan and Henry Polio for Justices of the as recommended by the RTC passed unanimously Adjournment A Motion to Adjourn was then made, which was seconded. The motion unanimously passed. The caucus adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
