REDDING REPUBLICAN TOWN COMMITTEE MINUTES The meeting was called to order at 8:02 p.m. Attendance: Christine Polio A quorum was present. Minutes The RTC passed on approving the October minutes. September, October, and November, 2006 minutes will be considered at the December, 2006 meeting. Treasurer's Report: Gary Miyashiro presented the Treasurer's Report. The report was approved unanimously. Announcements: Ward Mazzucco asked RTC members to take down Republican lawn signs after the election. He suggested we take them down immediately and that they needed to be down within forty-eight (48) hours after the election. Election Day: The RTC discussed the volunteer schedule and other details for the Election Day tent. Report of Vacancy Committee: Gerry Casiello reported for the Vacancy Committee on its recommendation to replace Julia Gorman on the Redding Board of Education and Virginia Connolly on the RTC. The Vacancy Committee recommended Lewis Brey for the vacancy on the Redding Board of Education and Scott Palmer for the vacancy on the RTC. The RTC unanimously approved the recommendation of Lewis Brey to fill the vacancy on the Redding Board of Education. Ward Mazzucco stated that pursuant to the RTC By-Laws, the nomination of Scott Palmer for the RTC would be voted on at the December, 2006 meeting of the RTC. December Meeting: Ward Mazzucco stated that RTC would discuss the upcoming 2007 elections at the December meeting. We will also hold our annual Holiday Party during the meeting. Ward asked everyone to bring something for the party. Adopt-A-Platoon Program: Urs Furrer announced that he would be making another shipment to the troops in Iraq and asked for additional items. Other Announcements: Ward Mazzucco announced the locations of the Christopher Shays and Phil Gallagher Election Night events. The meeting was adjourned at 8:12 p.m. Respectfully Submitted,
