Congressman Christopher Shays (R-Fourth District) listens intently to Master Sergeant Michael Blount of Danbury, who is currently home on leave from his tour of duty in Iraq. The two were on hand for Georgetown Day on Sunday. The Redding Republican Town Committee has adopted Sergeant Blount's platoon as part of the Adopt-a-Platoon program. The Committee collects goods and letters to send to the platoon in Iraq.
