Oct. 18, 2009 Annual RTC Pig Roast - Honoring Art Poltrack

A crowd of approximately 70 attended the Redding Republicans Pig Roast on Sunday to pay special tribute to Art Poltrack, past president of the Redding Boys & Girls Club and outgoing member of the Region 9 Board of Education. Due to weather conditions, the event was moved to the Redding Community Center.

Redding RTC Chairman Ward Mazzucco greeted guests and initiated the ceremonies with some good-natured roasting of Mr. Poltrack. Following that, First Selectman Natalie Ketcham presented the honoree with a plaque from the Republican Town Committee, its' inscription as reading, "To our good friend Art Poltrack in recognition and appreciation of your contributions to our community through your leadership and commitment shown to the Redding Boys & Girls Club and Region 9 Board of Education." State Senator Toni Boucher then presented Mr. Poltrack with special citations from both the Connecticut State Legislature and from Governor Jodi Rell.
